Laura Roberts is an award-winning communications and public affairs expert with global experience across the US, UK, Europe, and the MENA region. She has led high-profile campaigns, diplomatic initiatives, trade delegations, and cross-sector partnerships for governments, companies, and non-profits, consistently delivering measurable impact.

Her career highlights include founding the first French-language TV station in the US, managing international press during Michelle Obama’s visit to Spain, and rehabilitating the image of a European city marred by corruption. She has held senior leadership roles such as Executive Director of the UK Abraham Accords Group and The Emirates Society, and Director of Operations at diplomatic consultancy Pall Mall Communications. Laura is currently serving on several boards, including the UK Abraham Accords Group.

A graduate of American University’s School of International Service, Laura also holds a degree in Arts Management from SUNY and completed executive studies at Harvard Business School. She has served on numerous boards in the UK, US, and Spain, and is a member of Chatham House. Laura holds dual American-British citizenship and speaks English, French, and Spanish.

 William Knight brings decades of experience at the intersection of international finance, investment, and Asia-focused engagement.  William Knight brings decades of experience at the intersection of international finance, investment, and Asia-focused engagement. He is a Co-Founding Partner of Emerisque Brands, a firm specialising in branded fashion investments, and a Partner at Potentia-Inc Ltd, which focuses on private equity and venture capital in the food and food security sectors.

Throughout his career, William has held senior leadership and advisory roles spanning both the private and public sectors. He co-chaired the South Asia Group of the UK’s Institute of Directors, served on the China Group committee, and is a founding member of its Special Interest ASEAN Group. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the China UK Business Development Centre, promoting Sino-British trade relations.

His career began in ship and export credit finance at Lazard Brothers, followed by project finance, government lending, and capital raising at Lloyds Bank Group. During this time, he played a role in financing landmark infrastructure projects such as Dubai’s Dry Docks and Aluminium Smelter, Hong Kong’s Mass Transit Railway, and Algeria’s Arzew Steel Works. In the early 1980s, he was posted to Hong Kong, where he arranged sovereign and development finance for ASEAN nations and the Indian subcontinent—including the first sovereign borrowings by India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Pakistan.

Transitioning from finance to investment, William led and chaired a number of listed funds, including the London-listed Thai Euro Fund and the Portugal Fund, and served on the boards of the Vietnam Fund and the Mauritius Fund. He was also Chairman of the JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust, Fidelity Asian Values Trust, Evolvence India Holdings (a private equity fund of funds), and several funds and ventures across Asia, including in Myanmar, China, and Siberia.

His advisory work spans governments, development banks, and private enterprise. Notable assignments have included the Government of Mauritius, the Asian Development Bank, the State Bank of India’s asset management arm, and Campbell Lutyens, where he contributed to the privatisation of the Commonwealth Development Corporation. He continues to advise businesses today, most recently supporting a North American coffee company sourcing from Laos.

William’s professional journey has taken him around the world. He has lived in Hong Kong, France, Denmark, and Portugal, and completed transactions across all continents under the main global regulatory regimes. His affiliations include Chatham House (Royal Institute of International Affairs), the SOAS China Institute, the Scottish Asian Institute, and the Institute of Directors. He holds a First-Class Postgraduate Diploma in Export Marketing and is a Freeman of the City of London.

Carl Silverberg is a seasoned political strategist and international advisor with decades of experience shaping campaigns and public policy across the globe. He has worked on political campaigns in all 50 US states, advised over 20 presidential campaigns in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa, and consulted on parliamentary races in the EU. His counsel has guided national governments and major corporations on policy, political risk, and international investment—most notably during Ghana’s first peaceful constitutional transfer of presidential power in 2012.

Carl also serves as Senior Vice President of Outreach & Public Affairs at iUNU, where he leads on government relations and international market strategy in agritech. Earlier in his career, he was Chief of Staff to a senior Member of the US Congress, held a senior judicial appointment, and worked in investment banking.

Nick is also the founder and a director of Cormorant, and has served as Chairman, Director, or Advisor to numerous ambitious public and private companies since 1998. His specialist expertise spans fintech, mobility, SaaS, and media—sectors where he has led successful scale-ups, acquisitions, and exits. Notably, he founded and chaired PayByPhone, which reached over 1.6 million users and 900,000 monthly transactions before its acquisition by PayPoint plc.

Earlier in his career, Nick held senior roles in global investment banking, including as Head of Asian Equity Capital Markets at JP Morgan, and as Managing Director, Investment Banking at Nikko Europe. Nick began his professional journey as an officer in the British Army before earning a 2:1 Honours degree from Bristol University, a postgraduate diploma in law from City University, London, and qualifying as a barrister.
